DMCA policy
waplusinfo respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of this site to do the same. If you believe content hosted on this domain infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, you can submit a takedown notice in accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)).
We process valid takedown notices promptly and in good faith. We may also remove content at our discretion before completing a formal review where the infringement is unambiguous.
How to file a takedown notice
Send a written notice via the contact form (select “DMCA / takedown notice” in the category drop-down) that includes every item below:
- An electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- A specific identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the URL(s) on waplusinfo where the allegedly infringing material is located — full URLs, not the homepage.
- Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and a working email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Counter-notice
If content you posted was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice via the same contact form. A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your electronic or physical signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, address, phone number, and email, plus a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of your local Federal District Court (or, if outside the U.S., a court where waplusinfo may be located).
